January 28 The AnswerIf you have been searching for the ultimate answer to life, so have I. My journey so far have taken me to attend Alpha class at a Methodist church, read numerous books like "Purpose Driven Life", "Koran", "Book of Mormon", "New Testament" and other books in search for god and faith - religious, metaphysical and scientific proofs. Here are some of my mid-journey findings: 1. Answer = 42. "Meaning of Life" is the number 42. From the Sci Fi book "The Hitchhiker guide to the Galaxy". Verdict: sorry my cognitive mind cannot relate to this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Answer_to_Life,_the_Universe,_and_Everything#Answer_to_Life.2C_the_Universe.2C_and_Everything_.2842.29 2. Answer = Quantum energy, Collective unconscious, Karma, Law of Attraction. 3. Answer = GOD. Yes, I believe in the existing of a almighty creator. But the ways and paths to GOD, as defined by man, are not in agreement by religious leaders. Verdict: Yes! Allan Parker summarized it for me "Look at the Rose, and the garden around us. There must be a God to have created this beauty, harmony and intricacy. Not a random creation!" 4. Answer = Happiness inside. I attended a talk by "Sri Sri Ravi Shankar" in Singapore 2 years ago. Someone in the audience asked "What is the secret of life". He replied: "If someone tells you the secret, then it's no longer a secret. And if someone have figured it out, then we won't be searching for it now, would we? We have to practice inner happiness & peace, then we can find that Secret for ourselves" Verdict: Whether they are Ravi Shankar or Deepak Chopra or Anthony Robbins. The personality overshadows the content (good). Believe the person or believe the content. For me I believe in NLP. Maybe 2009 will bring forth more discovery for me.. :-). Have you found that answer yet? January 08 Tissot Touch
Nice design. Cool watch. It comes in a bright orange strap too - but I got it in black. My 19th year wedding anniversary gift from my wife. Great choice! December 04 WHY? WHY? WHY?I sometimes wonder:
WHY did Jack Welch divorce his wives? Being the most respected CEO in corporate America, and yet he did not manage his relationship well or did not choose the right wife? (married 3 times).
WHY the Dalai Lama could not reconcile the difference between him and his home country inspite of his reverence? While he advises people on how to live better, happiness, balance, yet - people around him are still antagonistic and unhappy.
WHY did management gurus have failed marriages or could not get along with their children? Do they really walk the talk? or only do it when its convenient to talk and walk?
Why aren't Futurist super rich? They dont believe what they see? or they are not materialistic?
Why do highly respected Statesmen and Stateswomen fall from grace? Committed adultery or bribery?
I wonder WHY. Do you have a theory?
December 03 iPHone vs My phoneOn Sept 17, i posted this blog ... and received 1 comment within that 24 hrs. The next day, I took this blog off my space... it was controversial and my daughter told me that I may not have represented her opinion correctly :-( hmm... So most of you would NOT have seen this blog. I am reposting this original text so that you could read it. And I have a follow up story about the iPhone vs Omnia experience .. in my blog - next week.
Lets see if the stories below gets more comments before i blog on it again. What's your comments about iPhone vs WM Phones experiences?

iPhone vs my phoneTwo weeks ago, my daughter needed a new phone, and she asked for an iPhone – the new cool gadget in school. I asked her why she thinks the iPhone is so cool. Spontaneously both she and her 17-yr old brother gave me a whole 'elevator pitch' and spiel about its cool features. I countered by showing them the TouchFlo of my wife's new HTC Diamond. They responded, "No thanks! Windows phones are for biziness people. ". Then I tried to demo "Guitar Hero III" on my Samsung i780, they said "Wow, Guitar Hero is cool" but there is a also Pocket Guitar on iPhone". (see pics). Then I tried the pitch on "Outlook Sync" - they countered "Nah! we don't use outlook".
Then I went into a passionate pitch about how Apple does not pay my salary, and neither does Google. Even if they use their own savings to purchase the iPhone, the source of their pocket money comes from my business relationship with Microsoft... Blah, Blah Blah. They fell silent. When I left the room, I could imagine them whispering to each : "...see what you did to upset dad? he get all worked up about these techy things.. now we will never get the iPhone... etc etc"
The next day, I realized that I needed more bullets win over ther hearts
The next day, I brought her to Singtel
I came back 1 minutes later… she decided to picked the OMNIA! She said "the phone is really cool!"
A few days later I asked her hows' the phone. She said "It awesome!" Then I asked her which part of the experience is less cool, and her reply stunned me "Windows Mobile. It makes is so business. The phone is cool, but no offence ok..Windows mobile is not". Hmm... we have a branding experience problem here.
That's my phone story! do you have one to tell? let me know. add comments here!
BWC December 02 Act out your thoughtsCan you hear your own thoughts? Do you play out your thoughts to 'see' it through (imaginary) and explore the possibility of it coming through?
I dont mean fantasy here. For fantasy, i assume people tend to play it through (over and over) and bask in a world of their own... this is called "day dreaming", right?
What I am talking is different from daydreaming I mean, if we have a idea (to create something), a wish (to travel), or a thought (to say something to someone) - do you just stop at that thought? I am guess you stop there most of the time. Do you "dwiddle" on it and explore deeper...?
Next time when a 'fleeting throught' comes to you... hold on to it, ask yourself "What if...", "And then...", and "What else could I do..." and finally "What does that make me (identity)?"
For me, I usually write them down in a notebook, or a OneNote on my PC, or type it in an email. After a few days, or week, i read them again. Sometimes, it looked really silly. Sometimes, it is so scary - and I was glad that I did NOT actually do it (only wrote it down). And for email, sometimes I was glad i did not click the "SEND" button ---about all the things I wanted to say to someone!
And ocassionally, a creative and innovative idea comes from this "acting-out-my-thought" process. And I am glad I spend time to THINK.
Your THOUGHTS? Pls share.
